Biography:

Rodney DeVeaux, 55, of Hollywood, Florida passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013. Mr. DeVeaux was born in West Islip, NY to John and Mary DeVeaux. Rodney graduated from West Islip High School in 1976 and studied at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. He spent most of his career in electronics manufacturing.

He resided in Hollywood, FL.

Biography: Rev. Joseph Diamante, of West Islip, died June 27, 2000.

After high school, I earned a Bachelors in Business from Oswego State and then an MBA in Telecommunication Management from Polytechnic University.

I’m married for 22 years to Patricia Russo from Lindenhurst. We have four great kids; two in college (one 20-year old daughter at Florida Southern College, one 18- year old son at Catholic University in DC, one 15-year old daughter in East Islip High School and a 10-year old son who keeps me going). We love skiing in the winter and boating and spending time at Kismet Fire Island in the summer. I still love going to concerts (around 20 a year). Everyone is healthy.

I started a telecom business in 1983 with Steve Hellberg class of 77, sold the company in 1998 to Northwestern Public Utilities (the power company for the Dakotas and Montana). I purchased it back in 2003 and then resold it to Black Box Network Services in 2006. I’m presently working at Black Box.

Thomas graduated from Harvard College in 1980 and School of Medicine at Boston University in 1984.  He is currently an Associate Professor at NYU Medical Center.  Tom is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.   His medical specialties include hernia, hepato-biliary, pancreatic, gastrointestinal and transplant surgeries. 

After graduating CW Post (Majored in Business Mgt & Mkting/Music minor), I’ve spent a career as a financial advisor and certified financial planner working for Lehman Bros and Prudential Securities.  I currently work @ A.G. Edwards in Morristown, N.J.

I have two great kids-Dylan (13) and Emily (10-going on 25).  I’ve run 5 marathons-1 of those with my brother Bob & 3 others with Steve Lampasona.  Hoping to run my 6th this November. Thankfully training starts AFTER the 2006 reunion! 

My hobbies now include playing guitar & blues harp & trying to draw like Lampasona. 

I graduated from Niagara University in 1980 and am currently employed by FTN Financial as a Government Bond trader.

I married Besty Nugent in 1988 and we have two sons, Kevin (16) and Stephen (14) who both attend West Islip High School.
